About the subclass 482 visa

The Skills in Demand visa (subclass 482) lets an approved Australian employer sponsor a skilled overseas worker to fill a role they cannot fill locally. It is a temporary visa of up to four years, and may offer a pathway to permanent residence.

It has three streams: Core Skills (occupations on the CSOL, salary at or above the Core Skills Income Threshold), Specialist Skills (highly paid roles) and Labour Agreement.
